Iran has received a 15 point peace proposal from the United States aimed at ending the Middle East war, Pakistani officials have confirmed. The plan was relayed to Tehran through Pakistani intermediaries even as Iran announced it had fired a volley of cruise missiles at the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. INEC chairman warns against voter apathy ahead of 2027 elections

Onitsha apprentice remanded for killing boss, stealing N8m

A 21 year old apprentice, Chiemerie Anieke, has been remanded in a correctional facility for allegedly killing his employer, Ikechukwu Nwite, and stealing his money in Onitsha, Anambra State. His alleged accomplice, Godwin Nnabuike Nwokporo, was also remanded over the crime and the movement of the stolen funds. Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga said operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department arraigned the two suspects on March 18, 2026. According to him, Anieke allegedly hit his boss on the head with a pestle, leading to his death, and has also been linked to an attack on Ogechukwu Nwite in Fegge, Onitsha. Ikenga said the pair were arraigned before a High Court in Onitsha. Court orders final forfeiture of $13m linked to Oceangate Engineering

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the final forfeiture of 13 million dollars linked to Oceangate Engineering Oil and Gas Ltd, a company associated with businesswoman Aisha Achimugu. Justice Emeka Nwite granted the request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for the money to be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government. In his ruling, Justice Nwite held that neither Oceangate Engineering nor Achimugu was able to prove that the 13 million dollars was legitimately earned. He said there was no credible evidence before the court to support their claim that the funds came from gifts and earnings from oil and gas contracts. Galatasaray confirms successful surgery for Osimhen

Galatasaray have confirmed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has undergone successful surgery to repair a fractured right forearm. The Turkish club said the operation was carried out by team doctor Yener Ince at Maslak Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul.​ Osimhen suffered the injury during Galatasaray’s 4 0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on March 18.
