Army trains personnel on cyber security, social media risks

The Nigerian Army has launched a three day Social Media Awareness Campaign to improve cyber security awareness and responsible online behaviour among its personnel. Strait of Hormuz cargo traffic falls 95 percent amid war

Cargo traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has dropped by about 95 percent since the Middle East war erupted with US Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28. From March 1 to the early hours of March 24, only 149 commodity carrier crossings were recorded in the 167 kilometre long waterway.​ Data from analytics firm Kpler shows that 94 of these crossings were by oil and gas tankers, with around 61 percent of them loaded and more than two thirds sailing eastwards out of the strait. Iran pounds Israel with missiles as questions grow over Trump talks

Heavy security as El Rufai arrives Kaduna court over graft charges

Security was heavily tightened on Tuesday around the Federal High Court in Kaduna as former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El Rufai appeared for arraignment over alleged corruption and money laundering. Armed operatives from several agencies took up positions on all access roads leading to the court.​ Personnel of the Department of State Services, Nigeria Police Force, Mobile Police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were deployed from as early as 7am.
