Priscilla Ojo alleges plot to derail Iyabo Ojo’s movie

Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has alleged that some people are working behind the scenes to derail her mother’s upcoming movie project. She made the claims while reacting to the online drama and backlash that followed the movie’s recent premiere event. According to Priscilla, the criticism and social media attacks directed at her and her mother are not random but part of a coordinated attempt to damage the project’s image. She suggested that certain individuals are uncomfortable with Iyabo Ojo’s growing influence and are trying to use negative narratives to distract from the film itself. She explained that false stories, exaggerated reactions and targeted trolling were pushed online around the time of the premiere. In her view, these moves were designed to shift the conversation away from the movie’s content and discourage people from supporting it in […]

Tems explains why she wants a God fearing partner

Nigerian Grammy winning singer Tems has opened up about the kind of partner she wants, saying she can never marry for love alone. She explained that beyond emotions, she places a lot of value on faith, accountability and a deep sense of responsibility in a relationship. Tems said her partner has to be a God fearing man because she believes true love requires a higher standard than personal feelings. According to her, someone who does not answer to God or any higher authority may not feel bound to keep long term commitments. She questioned how a person who sees himself as the god of his own life can genuinely promise lifelong love and loyalty. In her view, such a person could easily walk away when things become difficult because there is no deeper sense of accountability guiding his decisions. Tems […]

Islamic states slam Israel’s new death penalty law

Several Islamic states have strongly condemned Israel’s new death penalty law, which targets Palestinians convicted of deadly attacks on Israelis in the occupied territories. They describe the measure as discriminatory, dangerous and a serious threat to regional stability and peace. Under the law, Palestinians in the West Bank who are convicted by Israeli military courts of carrying out lethal attacks classified as acts of terrorism will face death by hanging as the default sentence. Rights groups say the same punishment does not automatically apply to Jewish Israelis convicted of killing Palestinians, making the law clearly unequal and racist in its application. In a joint statement, a group of Muslim majority countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, condemned the law as a dangerous escalation. They warned that the legislation could inflame tensions, […]
