NDLEA Cross River commander Ogbonna Uzoma found dead in hotel

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of its Cross River State Commander, Chief Narcotics Officer Ogbonna Uzoma, who was found lifeless in his hotel room in Calabar. The incident occurred on Thursday, September 18, 2025, barely one month after Uzoma assumed duty on August 18. NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, saying the late commander was due to lead scheduled operations but failed to appear. “When his officers didn’t hear from him by 9am, they went to his hotel room with hotel staff. FG targets 95% digital literacy by 2030 — NITDA

The Federal Government of Nigeria has set an ambitious goal to achieve 95% digital literacy nationwide by 2030, with a target of training at least 30 million citizens by 2027, according to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). NITDA’s Director-General, Kashifu Abdullahi, represented by Director of Stakeholder Management Aristotle Onumo, announced the plan on Thursday in Abuja during the Grand Finale of the Tech4Dev Digital for All Challenge 2.0. “Our aim is to ensure 95 per cent of Nigerians are digitally literate by 2030. Cult clash in Anambra: Police arrest four suspected cultists

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested four suspected cultists following a violent clash in Nsugbe, Anambra East Local Government Area.
