According to statements from the Air Force, the precision strikes were conducted under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai after intelligence and surveillance confirmed the presence of senior terrorist commanders and fighters in the target area. The missions were launched in the early hours following days of monitoring terrorist movements and activities around their hideouts
NAF aircraft engaged the locations once hostile elements were positively identified moving around concealed structures within the enclave. Post‑strike assessments indicated that several buildings used as command centres, shelters and armouries were destroyed and that many terrorists were neutralised in the attacks.
The Air Force said the operation is part of sustained efforts to deny terrorist groups freedom of action, disrupt their logistics and eliminate their safe havens in the North‑East. It added that the latest strikes complement ground operations by troops working to secure communities and key locations in Borno and neighbouring areas.channelstv+4
Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Sunday Aneke commended the personnel involved and reiterated NAF’s commitment to maintaining pressure on terrorist networks. He stressed that the service will continue to conduct coordinated missions with other security agencies until the threat is significantly degraded.f
Officials noted that similar air operations have recently targeted terrorist strongholds in other parts of the North, where strongholds and logistics hubs have also been hit and scores of fighters taken out. They urged residents in affected regions to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely information on suspicious movements to help sustain the current gains.
