Ukraine's capital Kyiv was hit by a massive Russian missile and drone attack early Sunday, killing at least four people and injuring dozens more across the city. Russia launched over 670 attack drones and 56 missiles against Ukraine overnight, including ballistic, aeroballistic and cruise missiles, with Kyiv remaining the primary target. Deadly Russian Strikes Hit Kyiv Again

At least eight people, including a 12-year-old girl, were killed in Kyiv after Russia launched one of its largest overnight drone and missile attacks on Ukraine since the beginning of the war in 2022. Ukrainian emergency services said the victims were found under the rubble of a heavily damaged apartment building in the capital. Rescue teams are still searching for at least 20 people believed to be trapped beneath the debris. Authorities confirmed that 45 people were injured in the strikes, including two children. Russian strikes cut power and heat to thousands in Ukraine

Russia has launched a large overnight barrage of drones and missiles on Ukraine, knocking out power, heat and water for tens of thousands of people in several major cities. Officials said the latest wave is part of an intensified winter campaign targeting the country’s energy infrastructure.​ In Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said around 3,500 apartment buildings were left without heating after critical facilities were hit. More than 100,000 families also lost electricity, with private energy firm DTEK confirming that one of its thermal power plants was struck. Russian strike leaves 1,700 Kyiv buildings without heating – mayor

About 1,700 apartment blocks and public buildings in Kyiv remain without heating two days after a major Russian missile strike hit the Ukrainian capital’s energy system, Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said. The attack on Thursday damaged critical infrastructure and left hundreds of thousands temporarily without heat in the middle of winter.​ Speaking on Saturday, Klitschko said city authorities had restored supply to a large part of Kyiv, but roughly 30 percent of buildings connected to the central heating network were still offline.
