Ukraine's capital Kyiv was hit by a massive Russian missile and drone attack early Sunday, killing at least four people and injuring dozens more across the city. Russia launched over 670 attack drones and 56 missiles against Ukraine overnight, including ballistic, aeroballistic and cruise missiles, with Kyiv remaining the primary target. Explosions reverberated through the city shortly after 1 a.m. local time, shortly after Ukraine's air force warned that Russia might deploy its feared Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile. Trump Says Iran Deal Largely Negotiated Dispute Over Strait Reopening

US President Donald Trump has announced that a peace deal with Iran has been "largely negotiated" and that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened as part of the agreement, though Tehran has disputed the claim that control of the waterway will change. Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform that the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran and various other Middle East countries including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain and mediator Pakistan has been largely negotiated and is subject to finalisation. The deal reportedly includes provisional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days as a confidence-building measure, during which Iran would not charge tolls for ships transiting the waterway and would clear mines previously laid in the Hormuz Strait to allow free passage. In exchange, the US would […]

US House likely to reject move to limit Trump’s Iran war powers

The United States House of Representatives is expected to vote down a bid to limit President Donald Trump’s authority to continue military operations against Iran. The measure mirrors a resolution that failed in the Senate, where most Republicans blocked an attempt to require Trump to obtain explicit congressional approval before extending the campaign in Iran. Republicans, who hold a slim majority in both chambers, argue that the president has sufficient constitutional and statutory authority to act and describe the strikes on Iran as defensive and necessary. Democrats, backed by a few Republicans, insist that Congress must reassert its war powers, warning that the widening conflict with Iran risks dragging the US into a prolonged and open ended war in the Middle East. Analysts say even if the House and Senate were to pass a war powers resolution, Trump would almost […]

Mohammad Pakpour. Un nouveau commandant en chef, […]

Khamenei’s daughter, in laws, granddaughter killed in US Israel strikes

Iranian media have reported that several close relatives of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were killed in the recent United States and Israeli strikes on the country. Reports said his daughter, son in law and granddaughter died in the attacks, alongside other senior figures targeted in strikes on Tehran and key leadership locations. State linked outlets, quoting sources within the Supreme Leader’s household, said they had confirmed the “martyrdom” of these family members following the bombardment. The deaths came during the same operation in which Khamenei himself and other top military and political leaders were reported killed, prompting Iran to declare 40 days of national mourning. Officials in Washington and Tel Aviv have not given specific public comment on the reported deaths of Khamenei’s relatives, maintaining that the operation was aimed at Iran’s leadership and strategic military infrastructure.

US, Israel launch strikes on Iran, target leaders and military sites

The United States and Israel have launched coordinated military strikes on Iran, targeting senior leaders and key military sites in a major escalation of tensions in the Middle East. The attacks were carried out on Saturday across several Iranian cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, and Kermanshah, hitting command locations and strategic facilities. U S officials said American forces used air and naval assets to strike multiple targets, though the full scale of the operation has not yet been disclosed. The Israeli government described its role as a pre emptive move to remove threats to its security, while U S President Donald Trump called the campaign a major combat operation aimed at preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Iranian authorities confirmed that the strikes hit areas linked to the leadership, including a district in Tehran where Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali […]
