L’organisation estime […]

Probe after London attack on Jewish ambulances

UK authorities have launched an investigation into a suspected arson attack on ambulances owned by a Jewish charity in north London, amid concerns over possible links to groups aligned with Iran. The incident occurred in Golders Green, where four vehicles belonging to Hatzola were set on fire in the early hours of Monday. The blaze triggered several explosions due to gas canisters inside the ambulances. According to Mark Rowley, police are examining whether individuals connected to the Iranian state may have been involved. However, he stressed that it is still too early to draw definitive conclusions. Investigators believe three suspects took part in the attack, which is currently being treated as an antisemitic hate crime rather than an act of terrorism. Authorities are also reviewing an online claim of responsibility from a group with alleged links to Iran. The group, […]

Kano suspends doctors over scissors found in patient’s stomach

Kano State Hospitals Management Board has suspended three medical doctors at the Abubakar Imam Urology Centre after an investigation confirmed that surgical scissors were mistakenly left inside the stomach of a patient, leading to her death. The victim, identified as Aishatu Umar, a mother of five, had undergone surgery at the government‑owned facility in September 2025 and reportedly suffered persistent abdominal pains for months afterward. A fresh scan conducted days ago revealed that a pair of scissors had been forgotten in her abdomen during the initial operation, prompting plans for corrective surgery. Unfortunately, she died on Sunday while preparations were underway, sparking outrage from relatives and members of the public over alleged medical negligence at the centre. In a statement, the Board’s Executive Secretary, Dr Mansur Mudi Nagoda, described the incident as clear medical negligence and announced the immediate suspension […]

Adichie Family Accuses Lagos Hospital of Negligence

The family of Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has accused a private hospital in Lagos of serious medical negligence following the death of her 21-month-old son, Nkanu Nnamdi, who died on Wednesday after a brief illness. Relatives say the toddler was denied adequate oxygen, left unattended and given excessive sedation that allegedly triggered a heart attack. These claims have placed Euracare Hospital, where the child was treated, at the centre of a growing public and legal storm. Speaking on Nigerian television, Adichie’s sister-in-law, Dr Anthea Nwandu, said hospital officials later admitted that Nkanu had been over-sedated. She also alleged that medical staff failed to follow standard procedures during his treatment and transfer, leading to oxygen deprivation and possible brain injury before his death. Similar allegations appeared in a private message written by Adichie that was later leaked online. Her spokeswoman […]

Why FG Hasn’t Prosecuted Terrorism Financiers – Minister

The Federal Government has not prosecuted suspected terrorism financiers because such cases require extensive, delicate investigations that cannot be rushed, according to Minister of Information Mohammed Idris. Speaking on Channels TV, Idris said the process is not as simple as having a list and moving suspects to court; solid evidence must first be gathered. Public pressure remains high, with critics linking delays to government complicity and growing insecurity. While some suspects were identified under past administrations, no high-profile cases have materialized in court, fueling distrust. Idris insisted progress is being made—highlighting that since May 2023, over 13,500 criminals have been neutralized, and 17,000 apprehended—with many already being tried or sentenced for security-related offenses. He called for patience and partnership with both domestic and foreign allies, emphasizing the complexity and diversity of Nigeria’s security crisis and ongoing diplomatic efforts to clarify […]

Trump Signs Law to Release Epstein Files After Congressional Push

President Donald Trump has signed new legislation requiring the public release of government records on late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The move, seen as a reversal for Trump, followed rare bipartisan support in Congress and public demand for transparency. The “Epstein Files Transparency Act” instructs the Justice Department to upload unclassified files, including transcripts, flight logs, and communications, online within a month—allowing only minimal exceptions for privacy and security. Abuse survivors and activists celebrated the bill’s passage, urging the administration not to delay or withhold information. Top Democrat Chuck Schumer and others cautioned against possible redactions or delays under the guise of ongoing investigations. Trump, once an associate of Epstein, signed the bill without ceremony, with some analysts warning his administration could still attempt procedural obstacles. Epstein’s arrest and later death in custody fueled suspicions of high-level cover-ups and public mistrust. The new law, passed following substantial pressure on Trump and Speaker Mike

US Congress Launches Sweeping Investigation into Nigeria’s Alleged Christian Genocide

The United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Africa will convene a public hearing on November 20, 2025, to investigate allegations of Christian genocide in Nigeria and review President Donald Trump’s move to redesignate Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC). This label, pending Senate approval, could authorize sanctions against Nigerian officials implicated in religious repression and restrict certain US-Nigeria partnerships. Chaired by Representative Chris Smith, the session features panels of senior US State Department officials and Nigerian faith leaders, including Bishop Wilfred Anagbe of Makurdi Catholic Diocese. Testimonies will address rising attacks on Christian communities, mass displacement, and killings attributed to Islamist militants and armed groups. President Tinubu has firmly rejected the genocide characterization, asserting Nigeria’s commitment to religious freedom, while US lawmakers weigh options ranging from humanitarian aid to sanctions and potential military action. The investigation was […]
