2027 polls: APC, four parties set as 16 others battle candidate crises
With less than a year to the start of candidate submissions for the 2027 general elections, only the ruling All Progressives Congress and four other parties are considered ready, while about 16 others are entangled in leadership and candidate selection crises. The situation follows the release of the 2027 election timetable by the Independent National Electoral Commission, which has intensified pressure on parties to put their houses in order.
