EFCC Chair: Africa Needs Reforms to Attract Investors

NDLEA Arrests Brazil Returnees, Seizes Drugs Across States

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested two Brazil returnees, a businesswoman, and several others in nationwide operations that disrupted major drug trafficking attempts. NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi said 46-year-old Ofoma Sunday was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, after a body scan confirmed he had ingested drugs. Abuja waste contractors threaten strike over 9 months unpaid wages

Contractors responsible for waste management in Abuja have threatened to down tools from September 25 if the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) fails to settle nine months of outstanding payments. In a letter to the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, the Association of FCT Solid Waste and Cleaning Contractors (AFSOWAC) said it could no longer guarantee uninterrupted sanitation services without urgent intervention. Survey: Nigerians among strongest supporters of global cooperation

Nigerians rank among the world’s top advocates for international cooperation, according to a new global survey by The Rockefeller Foundation. The poll, released ahead of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, found that 71% of Nigerian adults support nations working together to solve shared challenges. This places Nigeria in the top five globally, alongside India (81%), South Korea (73%), and Kenya (72%). South Africa followed closely with 70%.
