Bandits Kill 10, Kidnap Several in Kwara Village Attack

At least 10 people, including a village head (Baale), were killed when bandits attacked Oke-Ode community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Sunday morning. Witnesses said the armed men stormed the village, firing sporadically, killing residents, and abducting several others whose number is yet to be confirmed. A member of the local vigilante group, identified as Ajetunmobi, told Sobi FM that security forces failed to act on warnings that the attackers had been sighted since Saturday night. “We alerted security operatives to be prepared, but by morning the bandits launched the attack, starting from the duty post and targeting vigilantes,” he said. NDLEA, Police Arrest 57 Suspects in Major Kano Drug Raid

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced reduced fares for the 2026 pilgrimage to Mecca, with each pilgrim expected to save an average of ₦200,000 compared to last year. Bandits attack Zamfara mosque, kill five, abduct worshippers
