Democratic US Senate candidate Graham Platner has suspended his campaign in Maine following a series of controversies, including a recent allegation of sexual assault that prompted senior party leaders to withdraw their support. In a video posted on social media, Platner denied the allegation, describing it as false. He said his decision to suspend campaign activities was driven by the loss of backing from Democratic leaders and campaign organizations rather than an admission of wrongdoing.
