Putin defends Ukraine war on Victory Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin used his annual Victory Day address in Moscow’s Red Square to defend Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine and sharply criticize North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Nato). Nathaniel Olympio dénonce les détentions politiques

Invité de TV5Monde, Nathaniel Olympio, premier porte-parole du Front « Touche pas à ma Constitution », a vivement dénoncé la situation des détenus politiques au Togo. L’opposant accuse les autorités togolaises d’avoir instauré un système marqué par les arrestations arbitraires et le recul de l’État de droit. Le ministère de l’Administration territoriale a autorisé la tenue d’un rassemblement politique prévu ce samedi 9 mai 2026 sur le terrain d’Akassimé, dans la commune du Golfe 4 à Lomé. Le Togo accélère ses investissements routiers

Le gouvernement togolais augmente fortement ses investissements publics dans les secteurs des infrastructures, des transports et des travaux publics. Le budget consacré à ces domaines passe de 100,2 milliards de Fcfa en 2025 à 179 milliards de Fcfa en 2026, traduisant une volonté d’accélérer la modernisation du pays. South Africa court revives Ramaphosa impeachment

Third Briton linked to hantavirus outbreak

Health authorities are investigating a growing hantavirus outbreak linked to the cruise ship MV Hondius after a third British national was identified as a suspected case.
