Troops apprehend terrorist informants and logistics suppliers in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested suspected terrorist informants and logistics suppliers during fresh operations across Borno State.

According to an operational report, soldiers of 195 Battalion working with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force tracked and apprehended individuals believed to be passing information and supplies to insurgent groups.

In a related operation, troops of 19 Battalion and 25 Brigade Garrison intercepted suspected terrorist logistics suppliers near Road Kauji in Damboa Local Government Area, disrupting attempts to move food, fuel and other items to fighters.dailypost+1

The report added that one member of ISWAP surrendered to the troops and provided useful information to support ongoing counter terrorism efforts.

Troops also located and destroyed improvised explosive devices in some areas, preventing possible attacks on civilians and security personnel.

The army described the latest actions as part of intelligence led operations aimed at dismantling support networks and cutting off the flow of supplies that help insurgents operate in Borno and the wider northeast
