First batch of US troops arrive Nigeria for anti terror mission

The first batch of United States military personnel has arrived in Nigeria to support new joint operations against terrorist groups in the country’s north. Officials say the deployment will focus on intelligence, training and advisory support for Nigerian forces rather than direct combat. US sends 200 troops to Nigeria for military training

The United States has deployed about 200 troops to Nigeria to help train the Armed Forces in the fight against Islamist militants.
