One Killed, Five Wounded in Shooting Attacks Near West Bank, Israel
At least one person has been killed and five others wounded in a series of shooting incidents in central Israel near the Israeli-occupied West Bank, according to Israel’s emergency medical service Magen David Adom. The attacks unfolded on Sunday, with gunfire reported at multiple locations close to the Palestinian city of Qalqilya. Israeli police confirmed that one of the attackers was neutralised. Security forces identified the shooter as a Palestinian citizen of Israel from the Arab locality of Taybeh. A manhunt was launched for additional assailants after reports of gunfire at a gas station near Kokhav Yair around 10:30 a.m. local time.
