AFCON 2027: Super Eagles get final tournament dates as they chase fourth title

The Confederation of African Football has confirmed that the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations will hold from June 19 to July 18 2027, giving Nigeria’s Super Eagles a clear final date for their next title push. The tournament will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania – the first time three countries will stage AFCON together. CAF has also set out the qualification calendar, with the first two matchdays for the 2027 AFCON qualifiers scheduled between September 21–30 2026, followed by further rounds in October and November. Kenya open to 2027 AFCON delay over election tensions

Kenya’s local organising committee says it would welcome a postponement of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations because of likely election related tensions in the region.
