FG mourns Nigerian medical graduate killed in Russian airstrike
The Federal Government has expressed sadness over the death of a Nigerian medical graduate, Nnani Adaobi Marian, who was killed in a Russian airstrike in Ukraine. Marian died after she was badly injured during an attack in Kharkiv. Reports said she later died in Germany while receiving treatment. According to the Kharkiv National Medical University, Marian and her friend were heading to a graduation photo session when the airstrike hit. The university said doctors in Ukraine and Germany tried to save her life but were unable to do so. The incident has drawn sympathy from Nigerians and members of the international community because of the tragic timing, as she was only days away from graduation.
