Lone crash claims four lives on Lagos–Ibadan Expressway
The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed that four people died in a lone accident on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on Sunday night. The crash occurred around 9 18 p m in front of Christopher University in the Mowe area of Obafemi Owode Local Government Ogun State. According to FRSC officials, the accident involved a commercial Toyota Hiace bus with registration number AGL 789 YL. Preliminary investigation indicated that a tyre burst and excessive speed caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle leading to the fatal crash. A total of 13 persons were on board comprising 11 adult males and two adult females. Eight people sustained injuries – seven adult males and one adult female – while all four fatalities were adult males.
