Police Arrest Husband Wife for Child Stealing in Ogun

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a husband and wife for allegedly stealing children in the state. The couple was identified as Isiaka Lukman aged 42 and Abosede Olanipekun aged 23 who are natives of Edo State. They were arrested in connection with a series of child abductions across Ogun and Osun states according to the police. The suspects are accused of kidnapping children and selling them for one million naira each. Police said they recovered 10 of the stolen children after the arrest though some parents are still searching for their missing children. Ogun police investigate sexual assault claim by TikToker Mirabel

The Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation into allegations of sexual assault made by popular TikTok user Mirabel. She had earlier posted a viral video claiming she was attacked and raped by a stranger in the Ogijo area of the state. Police spokesperson Babaseyi Oluseyi confirmed that Mirabel reported the incident to the authorities after the alleged attack. He said the case has been transferred to the Ogijo Police Division, which has jurisdiction over the area, for further investigation and documentation. Suspected cultists kill man in Ogun community

Tension gripped Atan-Ota, Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Sunday after a suspected cult clash claimed the life of a man identified as Moses. Residents alleged that members of the Aye Confraternity were behind the killing. Disturbing videos from the scene showed the attackers repeatedly striking the victim’s wrist with machetes while boasting in pidgin, “We are the ones in charge.” The footage also captured Moses lying motionless on the ground as the assailants inflicted multiple machete cuts. Another clip showed his lifeless body, with mourners crying out his name in grief.
