Gunmen attack Delta APC congress, Ibori Suenu escapes alleged assassination

Gunmen stormed an All Progressives Congress ward congress in Delta State on Saturday, forcing House of Representatives member Erhiatake Ibori Suenu to be whisked away by security operatives in what her camp described as an assassination attempt. ICPC raids El Rufai’s Abuja home amid corruption probe

Operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission have searched the Abuja residence of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El Rufai. El Rufai demands answers over alleged toxic chemical purchase by ONSA

INEC fixes February 20, 2027 for presidential poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed February 20, 2027, for Nigeria’s presidential and National Assembly elections. The Commission said the date is in line with constitutional and Electoral Act provisions that require election notices to be issued at least 360 days before voting.
