Eight killed as terrorists bomb Niger bridge

Eight people have been confirmed dead after terrorists detonated an improvised explosive device along Luma Road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State. NAFDAC seals 18 warehouses over expired products in Niger

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has sealed 18 warehouses in Bida, Niger State, after discovering large quantities of expired food and beverage products. Officials estimate the value of the seized items at over 100 million naira. The warehouses, located around Ndazabo White House along Minna Road and behind Bida Modern Market, were shut following an intelligence led raid by NAFDAC’s Investigation and Enforcement team. Military launches Operation Savannah Shield in Kwara

The Defence Headquarters has launched Operation Savannah Shield in Kwara and parts of Niger State following last week’s deadly terrorist attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area. Bandits burn Niger police station, church, abduct five in fresh attack

Bandits have again attacked Agwara local government area of Niger State, burning the divisional police station and a church and abducting about five residents in an early morning raid. The gunmen stormed Agwara in the early hours of Sunday, first overrunning the local police station before setting it ablaze.
