Absence remarquée de Faure Gnassingbé à Nairobi

Le sommet « Africa Forward 2026 », organisé les 11 et 12 mai à Nairobi, devait symboliser une nouvelle dynamique dans les relations entre la France et l’Afrique. Plusieurs dirigeants africains, diplomates et partenaires économiques y ont pris part pour discuter de coopération, d’investissements et des grands enjeux du continent. Just in: Tinubu arrives Nairobi for Africa‑France summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, ahead of the Africa‑France Summit themed “Africa Forward: Africa‑France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth.” His aircraft touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:15 a.m. local time on Monday, where he was received by Kenyan officials and Nigerian diplomats. Tinubu’s trip to Nairobi is the second leg of a three nation tour that began in France and will end in Rwanda later in the week. Body of Kenyan Leader Raila Odinga Arrives in Nairobi

The body of veteran Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has arrived in the capital, Nairobi, from India, where he died of a suspected heart attack. A large crowd gathered at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to receive the coffin on Thursday. President William Ruto has announced seven days of national mourning for the influential politician. Odinga's body will lie in parliament before a state funeral service on Friday. It will then be moved to his home region in western Kenya for a burial service on Sunday. Odinga, who ran for president five times, was a major figure in Kenyan politics for decades and a figurehead for a large portion of the population.
