Trump orders 5 day pause on Iran strikes for talks
United States President Donald Trump says he has ordered a pause on planned military strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure following what he described as very good and productive talks with Tehran. He announced the move in a post on his Truth Social platform on Monday. Trump said the United States and Iran had, over the previous two days, held conversations aimed at achieving a complete and total resolution of their hostilities in the Middle East. He noted that the tone of the discussions was encouraging and that negotiations would continue throughout the week.
