Kaduna Gov Sani vows not to borrow for projects, pledges completion

Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has assured residents that his administration will not borrow or incur debts to fund projects, even as he pledged to complete several abandoned projects inherited from past governments. Speaking at the groundbreaking of a 16.5-kilometre asphalt road linking Kayarda Tasha, Kayarda Gari, Unguwan Sarki, Maskawa, and Dan Alhaji in Lere Local Government, the governor said the project, handled by a reputable construction company, would be the first of its kind in the area. “This kind of project is unprecedented in Lere Local Government,” Sani said, adding that his government was prioritising infrastructure without resorting to borrowing.
