Ondo Police Arrest 208 Suspects for Kidnapping, Robbery, and Murder
The Ondo State Police Command says it has arrested 208 suspects for various violent crimes across the state in the last two months. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the suspects were linked to offences including kidnapping, murder, rape, armed robbery, cultism, vehicle theft, and fraudulent property conversion. He attributed the success to the leadership of the State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, working in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and in partnership with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration. “In line with our intensified crime-fighting strategies, the command has arrested no fewer than 208 suspects… ranging from kidnapping, murder, rape, armed robbery, cultism, car and motorcycle theft, to fraudulent conversion of properties,” Ayanlade said.
