Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has admitted fault and apologised for the late red card he received in Nigeria’s 2 2 friendly draw against Jordan on March 31. The Fulham star was sent off in added time for retaliating after being held back by Jordan captain Amer Jamous, sparking a scuffle that soured the end of the game. Speaking on the Alexander Yaa Digg podcast, Iwobi said he felt compelled to address the incident publicly and take full responsibility for his actions. “I need to apologise to all my Nigerian teammates, staff and everyone who cares about Nigeria. Alex Iwobi and Moses Simon are closing in on historic 100 cap milestones as the Super Eagles take on Jordan in an international friendly in Antalya, Turkey. Super Eagles line up Jordan friendly as World Cup fate hangs on FIFA ruling

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have scheduled an international friendly against Jordan in Amman next month, even as their 2026 World Cup fate remains uncertain. The match is expected to hold during the March 23–31 FIFA window and would be the first ever senior meeting between the two countries.
