Senate moves to reboot Nigeria’s agricultural colleges

The Senate has intensified moves to overhaul Nigeria’s agricultural colleges and research institutions as part of efforts to modernise the sector and strengthen food security. The initiative is driven by the Senate Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions led by Senator Sharafadeen Alli. As part of the reboot plan, the committee is engaging key international partners including Malaysia, the European Union, Brazil, China, Germany, India and the United Kingdom for support on reforms, technology transfer and fresh investments. Alli said the National Assembly wants to leverage global expertise to boost productivity, build human capacity and create jobs through stronger agricultural education and research. Tinubu’s foreign trips strengthening Nigeria’s global partnerships – Yilwatda

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, says President Bola Tinubu’s foreign travels and meetings with world leaders have significantly strengthened Nigeria’s global partnerships and attracted major investment commitments.​ In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda said Tinubu’s trips are “purposeful actions” focused on economic cooperation, trade expansion and strategic alliances, not mere ceremonial visits.
