In the coastal community of Kelee, within the Weija-Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, more than 40 homes have been submerged by advancing tidal waves, leaving residents in fear of losing their entire settlement.Residents of the area have expressed growing concern over the sea’s encroachment, which has brought it dangerously close to their homes. Price of Passport Booklet Reduced from GH₵500 to GH₵350

The Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced a reduction in the price of a 32-page passport booklet from GH₵500 to GH₵350. The announcement was made on the floor of Parliament on March 13, 2025. This decision is part of the government's efforts to make passports more accessible to all Ghanaians.The price hike from GH₵100 to GH₵500 had occurred under the previous Akufo-Addo government to cover printing costs. The NDC, while in opposition at the time, criticized the increase and promised to review it should they win the 2024 general elections. 56 Arrested in Western Region Crackdown on Illegal Mining

Security forces in the Western Region have arrested 56 individuals for their involvement in illegal mining activities in Kadadwen and surrounding areas within the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.
