Army Honours Fallen Heroes Supports Wounded Troops
The Nigerian Army has honoured fallen soldiers and shown support for troops wounded in combat. The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, presented insurance cheques to families of fallen personnel and injured soldiers during the opening of the Army’s First Bi-Annual Conference 2026 in Abuja. He said the gesture shows the Army’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families. He also praised soldiers for their courage, discipline, and service in difficult security operations across the country.
