Airstrike kills terrorists at Jilli market amid civilian casualty fears

An airstrike on Jilli market, a boundary community between Borno and Yobe states, has killed many suspected terrorists but also raised fears of heavy civilian casualties. The Nigerian Air Force confirmed that its Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai carried out precision follow up strikes on Saturday evening against what it described as a terrorist logistics hub in the Jilli axis. NAF releases successful DSSC list, training starts April 18

The Nigerian Air Force has announced the list of successful candidates for its Direct Short Service Commission Course 34 2025 and fixed April 18 2026 as the start date for their training. The shortlist follows a selection board interview held at NAF Base Kaduna between January 12 and February 8 2026. According to an official statement signed by NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the names of successful candidates have been uploaded to the service’s recruitment portal at nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng for checking and further instructions. Applicants are advised to visit the portal and confirm their status. NAF strikes Borno terrorist hideouts after failed attacks

NAF denies espionage claims over C-130 landing in Burkina Faso

The Nigerian Air Force has rejected reports that its C-130 transport aircraft currently in Burkina Faso was engaged in espionage or was forced to land by Burkinabe authorities.
