The Nigerian Air Force has announced the list of successful candidates for its Direct Short Service Commission Course 34 2025 and fixed April 18 2026 as the start date for their training. The shortlist follows a selection board interview held at NAF Base Kaduna between January 12 and February 8 2026.
According to an official statement signed by NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the names of successful candidates have been uploaded to the service’s recruitment portal at nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng for checking and further instructions. Applicants are advised to visit the portal and confirm their status.
All shortlisted candidates are expected to commence a six month Basic Cadet Training programme at the Nigerian Defence Academy Afaka Kaduna on Saturday April 18 2026. They must report to the NDA on that date with their original credentials for documentation and admission into the course.
The Air Force warned that any candidate who fails to report on or before 6 00 p m on Monday April 20 2026 will automatically forfeit the offer. It emphasised that those on the list will only be recognised as NAF personnel after successfully completing the training and being commissioned as officers.
The release of the DSSC list marks the conclusion of the latest phase of NAF’s officer recruitment drive aimed at boosting manpower across various specialities. Successful candidates have been urged to start preparing immediately, follow all instructions on the portal carefully and present themselves in good physical and mental condition for the rigours of cadet training.
