West Ham Co-Chair David Sullivan Resigns Amid Historic Allegations

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has resigned as joint-chairman and director of the club effective immediately, saying he will fight "factually incorrect and entirely false" decades-old allegations about his private life. Sullivan, 77, announced his resignation in a statement on Saturday, saying he made the decision "with a heavy heart" but out of "love, respect, and responsibility" toward a football club and fan base that deserve absolute unity. The club stated it had been informed of the impending publication of serious historical allegations and that none of the allegations pertain to West Ham United or its operations.
