Man Arrested After Burying Girlfriend in Septic Tank

A 26-year-old man, Kwabena Adjei, has been arrested in Sunyani for allegedly killing his 19-year-old Nigerian girlfriend, identified as Testimony, and hiding her body in a septic tank.According to reports, a heated argument between the couple turned fatal when Adjei elbowed Testimony, causing her to fall unconscious and die instantly. Instead of reporting the incident, he kept her body in his room for three days before disposing of it in the tank near the Bono Regional Fire Command.Haunted by guilt and claiming to be tormented by her ghost, Adjei later turned himself in to the police with the support of his uncle. The Ghana National Fire Service assisted in retrieving the body from the septic tank after it was discovered in a decomposed state.Police have taken the suspect into custody as investigations continue

She was quickly transported to the University Health Services, where she was pronounced dead.Police investigations revealed marks of violence on her body, leading to Tuffour’s arrest later that day. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has assured Deladem’s family of a thorough investigation and justice for the victim.The IGP has also met with KNUST authorities to discuss improved security measures on campus. Painter Jailed for Office Laptop Theft.

A 25-year-old painter, Kelvin Boateng, has been sentenced to three years in prison for stealing a laptop from an office in La Kojo Sardine, Accra.Boateng was caught after he scaled a fence to enter the office premises on December 31, 2024. He snuck into one of the rooms and took an HP laptop but was spotted by a witness while trying to escape. He fled and hid in an uncompleted building, but the complainant, Mc Dennis Appau, and other witnesses pursued him and retrieved the stolen device.The police arrested Boateng, and during interrogation, he admitted to the crime. He pleaded guilty to unlawful entry and stealing in court, leading to his conviction by Judge Christina Cann. As he was escorted in handcuffs to begin his sentence, Boateng broke down in tears.

Hunter Sentenced to 24 Months for Stealing Phones and Cash.

The theft occurred on December 31, 2024, when Donkor broke into the residence of a 21-year-old cocoa purchasing clerk while he slept. Following his arrest, the police recovered the stolen phones, though one was damaged; however, the cash and sneakers were not retrieved. Presiding Judge Isaac Osei Asare advised Donkor to abandon unproductive behaviors and focus on self-improvement after serving his sentence.
