Former NFL star Richard Sherman and his family were shaken by a terrifying armed robbery that took place at their Washington home over the weekend. The 37-year-old ex-Seattle Seahawks defensive back shared the unsettling ordeal on social media on March 31, 2025, revealing that at least three armed robbers stormed his home while his wife and children were inside. The robbers, who were captured on surveillance footage, ransacked the house and fled with stolen goods.
Sherman described the robbery as a “scary situation,” but praised his wife, Ashley Moss, for handling the situation calmly and ensuring their children remained safe. Sherman posted a video of the robbers jumping out of a shattered window and appealed to the public for help in identifying the intruders.
Moss also shared her experience, recounting how she woke up to find intruders outside their bedroom with guns, but confirmed that they were physically unharmed, though emotionally traumatized. The robbers didn’t just target Sherman’s home, as local police revealed that five other homes in the area were also burglarized that same night.
This break-in is part of a troubling trend of high-profile athletes being targeted by thieves. Authorities have been working to apprehend the suspects, with Sherman and Moss leading the charge in demanding justice. As Sherman put it, “We WILL find you.”
