Burkina Faso : 40 tonnes de drogues incinérées à Ouagadougou

En marge de la 38ᵉ Journée internationale contre l’abus et le trafic illicite de drogue, le Comité national de lutte contre la drogue (CNLD), à travers son Secrétariat permanent (SP-CNLD), a procédé à une opération d’incinération contrôlée de drogues saisies, le 6 janvier 2026 à Ouagadougou. Selon le Secrétaire permanent du CNLD, l’inspecteur de police Emanoël Kaboré, cette opération s’est déroulée dans le strict respect des normes environnementales et sécuritaires. Elle vise à éliminer définitivement le risque de réintroduction des stupéfiants dans les circuits illicites, à limiter la pollution incontrôlée et à envoyer un message dissuasif clair aux trafiquants et aux réseaux criminels. Au total, 39 137,98 kilogrammes de drogues, soit près de 40 tonnes, ont été détruits. Burkina Faso frees detained Nigerian aircraft and 11 troops

The Federal Government has confirmed the release of the Nigerian Air Force C-130 aircraft and 11 soldiers who were detained in Burkina Faso after a forced landing.​ The confirmation came on Wednesday night from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, who said the aircraft and personnel had been released.
