Nigeria and the Alliance of Sahel States are giving sharply different accounts of how a Nigerian Air Force C 130 transport plane and 11 soldiers ended up detained in Burkina Faso. Nigerian military plane grounded in Burkina Faso over airspace row

A Nigerian Air Force C 130 transport plane carrying 11 soldiers has been grounded in Burkina Faso over an alleged violation of the country’s airspace. The aircraft was forced to land in the southwestern city of Bobo Dioulasso after what officials described as an in flight emergency while transiting Burkinabe airspace.​ According to a statement from the Confederation of Sahel States known as AES the plane had two crew members and nine passengers all of them Nigerian military personnel. NECO accredits Burkina Faso schools for SSCE, BECE

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has accredited selected schools in Burkina Faso to host its Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). According to Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani, the decision followed a detailed assessment of classrooms, laboratories, libraries, ICT facilities, workshops, exam halls, sports grounds, security and teacher availability in the West African country.​ Sani said the schools were granted full accreditation after the evaluation, stressing that the move reflects NECO’s drive to provide credible assessment services beyond Nigeria’s borders. Visite opérationnelle du Colonel Théophile Nikiéma dans la 6ᵉ Région militaire

Le Colonel Théophile Nikiéma, Chef d’État-Major Général Adjoint des Armées et Commandant du Théâtre National (COTN), a mené une visite opérationnelle dans la 6ᵉ Région militaire le mercredi 12 novembre 2025. Sa mission a commencé à Fada N’Gourma, où il a échangé avec l’ensemble des Forces de Défense et de Sécurité de la garnison. Il s’est ensuite rendu auprès des militaires du 12ᵉ Bataillon d’Intervention Rapide ainsi que des unités combattantes récemment revenues de l’Opération Kiarima 4.
