Tinubu mourns ex ASUU president Biodun Jeyifo

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mourned Professor Emeritus Biodun Jeyifo, describing the late former ASUU president as an intellectual giant and towering figure in global academia. US sends 200 troops to Nigeria for military training

The United States has deployed about 200 troops to Nigeria to help train the Armed Forces in the fight against Islamist militants. The Wall Street Journal quoted a US military official as saying the move followed recent criticism by President Donald Trump over attacks on Christians in Nigeria.​ The report said the troops will strengthen Nigeria’s counterterrorism capacity through training and operational support. FG stops NAFDAC from enforcing sachet alcohol ban

The Federal Government has ordered the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control to stop enforcing the ban on sachet alcohol and 200ml PET bottle drinks. Military launches Operation Savannah Shield in Kwara

The Defence Headquarters has launched Operation Savannah Shield in Kwara and parts of Niger State following last week’s deadly terrorist attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area. Shettima visits Kwara after deadly Woro village attack
