DSS Frees Three Men Wrongly Held Over Banditry Allegations

The Department of State Services has released three men earlier arrested on suspicion of involvement in banditry and kidnapping after a fresh review showed they were wrongly detained. The men were picked up in June 2025 as part of wider security operations targeting banditry networks in the country.​ A special review panel set up by the DSS examined their case and concluded that investigations did not establish any link between the suspects and the alleged crimes.
