Anthony Davis Out Six Weeks With Hand Injury
Anthony Davis will miss roughly six weeks after suffering ligament damage in his left hand, but the Dallas Mavericks confirmed that surgery will not be required. The decision followed medical evaluations earlier this week, with doctors expecting the injury to heal naturally over that period. The veteran center was hurt late in last week’s narrow loss to the Utah Jazz while defending Lauri Markkanen on a drive to the basket. Davis immediately showed visible discomfort and was forced to leave the game and head to the locker room. This is the second lengthy absence of the season for the 10-time All-Star.
