Iran Supreme Leader Says Region Won’t Serve as Shield for US Bases
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has declared that Gulf powers will no longer serve as a “shield” for American military bases and the United States will no longer have a “safe haven” in the Middle East region. Speaking on his Telegram channel on Tuesday, Khamenei stated that regional countries must close US military bases as soon as possible, warning that they will be forced to attack them again if they don’t.
