TikToker Peller set for nationwide Nigerian tour from March 6

Popular Nigerian TikToker and streamer Peller is set to begin his first nationwide tour across several states in Nigeria on March 6. According to the tour announcement, he will visit multiple cities and states to meet fans, create live content and host interactive sessions that mirror his online personality. The tour will feature live streams from each stop, allowing fans who cannot attend physically to follow the experience in real time across his social media platforms.​ Peller has already released a cinematic teaser for the tour, building excitement online and hinting at a mix of comedy, storytelling and fan engagement at the events.​ He said the project is his way of appreciating supporters who helped grow his brand and of taking digital content “from the screen to the streets” across Nigeria.

Canal+ to discontinue Showmax after MultiChoice takeover

French media group Canal+, the new owner of MultiChoice, has announced plans to discontinue the Showmax streaming service after a review of the company’s digital operations. In a statement, MultiChoice said the Showmax board approved the shutdown because the platform’s heavy annual losses had become unsustainable in an increasingly competitive and capital intensive global streaming market. The company explained that, instead of continuing to fund Showmax, it will redirect resources into building a new large scale in house streaming platform aimed at both African and international audiences. Popular photographer Kola Onifoto dies in Lagos bike crash

Popular Nigerian photographer and biker Orowole Kolapoz, known as Kola Onifoto, has died after a lone motorcycle crash in Lagos.
