Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has urged all Polish citizens in Iran to leave the country immediately as tensions rise in the region. He also advised people planning to travel to Iran to cancel their trips.
Tusk said he did not want to cause panic but warned that the risk of armed conflict involving Iran is very real. He explained that if fighting breaks out, it may be impossible to evacuate Polish nationals within a few hours.
The warning comes amid growing tension between the United States and Iran, with American officials hinting at possible military action. Iran has said it would respond to any attack by targeting United States military facilities in the region.
Poland’s foreign ministry has repeated the call for citizens to leave Iran and avoid all travel to the country. It cited the unstable security situation, ongoing protests, and the risk of sudden escalation as key reasons for the alert.
Tusk urged Poles in Iran to act without delay and follow official guidance to stay safe. He stressed that protecting citizens abroad is a top priority for the Polish government.
