Former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo visited ex-Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, at his Lagos residence in anticipation of Fayose’s 65th birthday, which is scheduled for November 15, 2025.
During the visit, Osinbajo described Fayose as “a resilient and steadfast Nigerian who doggedly pursues whatever he believes in.” He expressed his congratulations ahead of the public celebration, noting that he wouldn’t be available on the actual birthday.

Police Council confirms Olatunji Disu as substantive IGP
The Nigeria Police Council has unanimously approved the appointment of Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector General of Police. The council, chaired by President Bola Tinubu and made up of the 36 state governors, the chairman of the Police Service Commission and the IGP, reached the decision at a brief meeting in the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
