Dangote Refinery to expand capacity from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels daily

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has unveiled plans to expand its production capacity from 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 1.4 million bpd, a move that will make it the largest refinery in the world once completed. President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, announced the development during a press briefing in Lagos on Sunday, stating that the expansion work will commence immediately. NDLEA arrests Pretty Mike, 100 others at Lagos drug party

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested popular Lagos socialite Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, better known as Pretty Mike, along with over 100 other suspects, during a midnight raid on Proxy Nightclub, Victoria Island, Lagos. The NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the arrests on Sunday, stating that the raid followed credible intelligence about a planned drug party at the venue, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street. Court Grants Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Bail in Protest Case

A Magistrate Court in Kuje, Abuja, has granted bail to activist Omoyele Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer Aloy Ejimakor, and 11 others who were arrested during a protest demanding Kanu's release. The 13 defendants were arraigned on charges including unlawful assembly, inciting disturbance, and disturbance of public peace. They all pleaded not guilty to the charges. The court granted each defendant bail in the sum of ₦500,000 with two sureties in like sum. The sureties are required to provide tax clearance and a valid means of identification.  National Assembly Pushes for Timely Constitution Review

Speaking at a joint retreat in Lagos, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, urged lawmakers to work towards transmitting the first set of amendments to State Houses of Assembly before the end of the year. These include 69 amendment bills, 55 requests for new states, and 278 requests for the creation of new local governments.
