Industry data cited in the report show that flows of jet fuel from Nigeria to Europe rose from 232,000 metric tonnes in May to 466,000 metric tonnes in June, with Dangote accounting for the bulk of the cargoes.
Analysts say the refinery’s surge in exports is linked to global supply disruptions caused by the US–Iran war and Middle East tensions, which have tightened aviation fuel availability and pushed European buyers to seek alternative suppliers.
The report notes that Dangote’s shipments to Europe in recent months have outpaced volumes from some traditional suppliers, including the United States, reinforcing its status as one of the world’s leading jet fuel exporters
Efforts to ramp up output at the Lagos-based facility are expected to continue, as the refinery positions itself to capture more market share amid ongoing volatility in global energy trade.

The West African Examinations Council on Wednesday announced the release of the 2026 Computer‑Based WASSCE for school candidates, revealing that over 1.2 million students met the minimum requirement for admission into tertiary institutions. WAEC said 1,200,514 candidates, representing 61.54%, obtained credits and above in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, slightly lower than the 62.96% recorded in 2025.
