Après sept années riches en réalisations , l’ambassadeur de Chine au Togo, Chao Weidong , s’apprête à quitter ses fonctions pour regagner son pays.
C’est dans un esprit de clôture protocolaire qu’il a entamé une série de visites d’adieu auprès des hautes autorités togolaises.
Vendredi dernier, il a notamment rendu visite à Sevon-Tépé Kodjo Adédzé , Président de l’Assemblée nationale, avec qui il a partagé un moment de reconnaissance mutuelle.
Un bilan riche et positif
Durant leur rencontre, l’ambassadeur a exprimé sa profonde gratitude pour l’accueil reçu , la collaboration fructueuse et le respect mutuel qui ont jalonné son mandat. Il a souligné la qualité exceptionnelle des relations sino-togolaises :
“Les relations entre la Chine et le Togo sont excellentes sous la conduite du Président Xi Jinping et du Président Faure Gnassingbé.”
Selon Chao Weidong, la coopération entre Pékin et Lomé a connu des avancées significatives, tant sur le plan diplomatique que parlementaire . Il a salué le dynamisme actuel des échanges, citant notamment le développement économique, la formation professionnelle et les infrastructures comme domaines prioritaires d’une collaboration toujours plus étroite.
Une amitié renouvelée
Le diplomate a également mis en avant la solidité du partenariat sino-togolais, affirmant la volonté partagée des deux pays de poursuivre et approfondir leurs coopérations , dans un esprit de respect mutuel et de durabilité .
“Nous assistons récemment à un dynamisme exceptionnel dans plusieurs domaines entre nos deux pays,” a-t-il déclaré.
Cette phase de transition marque donc la fin d’un chapitre important dans les relations entre le Togo et la Chine, tout en ouvrant la voie à de nouvelles opportunités de collaboration dans les années à venir.

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed ongoing power interruptions in parts of the Greater Accra and Western regions to separate technical faults affecting its distribution network.
