Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for 2025/26 after helping Paris Saint-Germain win their first-ever European crown and complete a continental treble in his first season at the club.
Kvaratskhelia, who joined PSG for €70 million in January 2025 from Napoli, immediately became a focal player and scored in the Champions League final. He recorded 10 goals and five assists in 14 Champions League appearances, making a decisive impact in Europe’s premier competition.
The Georgian has achieved a rare and extraordinary feat: winning a quadruple across two different clubs in a single season. Kvaratskhelia has become just the second player in history to win a quadruple across two different leagues in the same season. Only Álvaro Odriozola achieved a similar feat, doing so with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in 2019/20 when he won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and Champions League after transferring mid-season.
AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf, a four-time Champions League winner, has hailed Kvaratskhelia as the “best player in the world” following his “unbelievable” display for PSG against Bayern Munich in a nine-goal thriller at the Parc des Princes during the quarter-finals.
