Avengers Doomsday revealed at CinemaCon

Article arrow_drop_down

Some of the most highly anticipated films of the coming years were unveiled at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where studios, filmmakers and major stars gathered to preview upcoming releases.

The annual event offers cinema owners and fans an early look at major productions, often showcasing exclusive footage and trailers before they are released publicly.

One of the biggest highlights came from Disney, which presented the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The film is set to hit cinemas on 18 December and is expected to be a major milestone in the Marvel franchise.

The trailer revealed a major twist: Robert Downey Jr., previously known for playing Iron Man, returns in a completely different role as the villain Doctor Doom. The film brings together both familiar and new characters from across the Marvel universe.

Among the scenes shown was a confrontation between Gambit, played by Channing Tatum, and Shang-Chi, portrayed by Simu Liu. The footage also featured Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Professor Xavier, hinting at a major threat facing the heroes.

Another standout moment was the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. In the preview, he appears alongside Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, in a dramatic scene where the legendary hammer Mjolnir comes into his hands.

Speaking at the event, Evans explained that his return was carefully considered, noting that he only agreed to reprise the role because the story offered a compelling reason for the character’s comeback.

Overall, the presentation reinforced expectations that the next Avengers installment will be a major cinematic event, combining nostalgia with new storylines to drive the franchise forward.

Togo consumers urged to report telecom abuses

France counters Russia influence push in Togo

Togo unveils new diaspora engagement strategy
