Palestinians flee Gaza as Israel offensive expands

Thousands of Palestinians are continuing to flee Gaza City as Israel’s major ground offensive enters its second day. Heavy bombardments overnight hit residential areas and medical facilities, including three strikes on the al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital, Gaza’s only specialist center for cancer and kidney patients. CARFO appliquera des pénalités dès août 2025

Le Directeur Général de la Caisse Autonome de Retraite des Fonctionnaires (CARFO) informe les employeurs et détachés payeurs que, conformément à la législation en vigueur, ses services appliqueront à compter d’août 2025 des majorations pour tout paiement de cotisations effectué hors délais. Selon la loi n°003-2021/AN du 1er avril 2021 relative au régime de sécurité sociale applicable aux agents publics de l’État, une pénalité de 1,5 % par mois ou fraction de mois de retard sera appliquée aux cotisations non réglées dans les délais impartis par les employeurs et détachés payeurs autres que l’État. Par ailleurs, l’arrêté n°2023-016/MFPTPS/SG/DGPS précise que les cotisations sociales doivent être versées à la CARFO chaque mois, dans les quinze premiers jours du mois suivant. Mahamadou Sana lance contrôles routiers à Koubri

Dans la nuit du lundi 15 au mardi 16 septembre 2025, le Ministre de la Sécurité, Mahamadou Sana, a effectué une descente inopinée au poste de contrôle routier de Koubri. Mahama launches road project for 166 constituencies

President John Dramani Mahama has launched a nationwide road initiative that will see 166 constituencies benefit from 40 kilometres of road construction each over the next four years. The President made this known during the sod-cutting ceremony for the Dawhenya-Afienya-Dodowa Road Project in Accra on Tuesday, September 16. He explained that the selected constituencies were identified as having some of the most deteriorated road networks in the country. According to him, each constituency will receive 10 kilometres of roads, drains, and pavements every year for four years, amounting to 40 kilometres in total. FDA to inspect school food vendors in Central Region

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in the Central Region has announced plans to inspect the certifications of food vendors in schools to ensure that pupils are served safe and healthy meals. Regional Director of the FDA, Francisca Anokye, said the initiative is aimed at preventing uncertified vendors from operating in schools, a move she believes will protect children from foodborne illnesses. Tanyigbe chieftaincy dispute: Akoto Family urges calm

The Akoto Royal Family, custodians of the Doku Dzehe stool, has appealed to the Adiko Royal Family to respect due process in the ongoing chieftaincy dispute at Tanyigbe in the Volta Region.
